Positive programs that create connection, mentorship, and opportunity.
Why Start A PAL Chapter?
PAL is a proactive investment in community trust, youth development, and public safety.
Police chiefs and sheriffs across the country are looking for proven ways to engage youth before problems escalate. A PAL chapter provides a structured, relationship-based approach that connects officers and young people through positive activities, mentorship, and shared experiences.
PAL chapters help law enforcement agencies:
- Build trust with youth and families
- Strengthen officer & community relationships
- Support positive youth behavior and school engagement
- Reduce long-term involvement with the justice system
When officers are seen as mentors and role models – not just enforcers – communities become safer, more connected, and more resilient.
The Value of National PAL Membership
Starting a local program is one thing. Starting a PAL chapter with national backing is another.
As a National PAL member, your chapter gains access to:
- Proven programs and curricula focused on mentoring, wellness, STEM, and leadership
- Operational tools and discounts that reduce administrative burden and risk
- Training and peer networks with other law enforcement leaders nationwide
- Funding pathways and partnerships that support long-term sustainability
- National brand credibility that helps open doors locally
National PAL provides guidance and resources while local chapters remain independent and locally led.
